Day 1 : Embarking on a Journey from Casablanca to Fes via Rabat, Volubilis, and Meknes
Our 7-day Moroccan adventure begins in Casablanca, where we'll start with a brief visit to the majestic Hassan II Mosque, Africa's second-largest mosque, perched on a promontory overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Our journey continues to Rabat, the capital city, where we'll explore the Hassan Tower, Mohammed V Mausoleum, and the historical Kasbah of Oudaya, reminiscent of a medieval Andalusian village. We'll have a chance to admire the panoramic view of the Bou Regreg River, Morocco's longest. Our day continues with a stop at Volubilis, an ancient Roman settlement, followed by a visit to Meknes, a previous royal city. We'll stroll around the old fortress walls, explore beautiful parks, and step back in time in the medina, before retiring to a traditional riad in Fes for the night.
Day 2 : Unearthing Fes' Historical Gems with a Local Guide
After breakfast, a local guide will lead us on a tour through Fes, a city rich in history. We'll visit the tanneries, Medersa Al Attarine, Nejjarine Fountain, and Al-Qarawīyīn, one of the world's oldest universities. A walk through the bustling medina will expose you to the fragrant spice stalls, vibrant Berber carpets, and traditional handicrafts. After a delightful lunch in a local restaurant, we return to the riad for a restful night.
Day 3 : Journeying from Fes to Merzouga via Ifrane, Cedar Forest, Midelt, and Ziz Valley
Today, we'll leave Fes behind and set off to Merzouga. Our journey will take us through the lush vegetation of Moroccan Switzerland, the cedar-laden Ifrane National Park, and the breathtaking Atlas Mountains. After a brief stop in Erfoud, we reach the dunes of Merzouga, where a desert camp and a camel ride at sunset await us.
Day 4 : Merzouga Desert Adventure (Nomads, Gnawa, Mefiss, etc.)
After a sumptuous Moroccan breakfast, our 4x4 adventure takes us through the dunes to discover fossil-rich plains and ancient coal mines. We'll listen to the ancestral drum rhythms of the Gnawa musicians, share tea with nomads under their traditional tent, and savor the taste of Berber cuisine. The afternoon is yours to explore or relax, with dinner and overnight at the camp or hotel.
Day 5 : Traversing from Merzouga to Bomalen Dades via Rissani and Todgha Gorges
After breakfast, we continue our journey to Bomalen Dades, passing through the route of 1000 Kasbahs, witnessing unique landscapes and historical sites. We'll explore the Todgha Gorge, and briefly visit the Dades Gorge before reaching our accommodation in Bomalen Dades.
Day 6 : From Bomalen Dades to Marrakech via Ouarzazate, Ait Benhaddou, and Tizi n’tichka
Our journey back to Marrakech takes us through the Valley of the Roses, the film metropolis of Ouarzazate, and the enchanting Ksar Ait Benhaddou, a popular film set location. We'll stop at the peak of Tizi-n-Tichka pass to enjoy the panoramic view before descending to Marrakech. Upon arriving in Marrakech, we'll escort you to your hotel or riad, depending on the time of your arrival.
Day 7 : Farewell Transfer to Marrakech or Casablanca Airport
