Itinerary for 4 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga

Day 1 : Marrakech - Ouarzazate - Dades Valley

On the first day, our driver will collect you from your Marrakech hotel or Riad at 8:00 AM in a 4x4 or minivan to embark on your desert trip to Dades Valley. You'll traverse the Tizi-N-Tichka pass in the High Atlas Mountains, taking in the panoramic road and passing through picturesque Berber villages en route to Ouarzazate. There, you'll explore the historic Taourirt Kasbah and enjoy lunch. Afterwards, you'll head to the verdant Dades Valley via the stunning Skoura palm grove, where dinner and overnight accommodation await.

Day 2 : Dades - Todra Gorges - Merzouga Dunes (Erg Chebbi)

After breakfast, we'll journey to Tineghir and then on to Todra Gorges, where you can appreciate the striking canyon views and wander through the palm plantations. Next, we'll travel to Tinjdad for lunch before heading to Erfoud, passing through Berber villages such as Touroug and El-Jarf. After visiting a local fossil craft workshop, we'll continue to the captivating Erg Chebbi dunes, also known as Merzouga Dunes. At the hotel, you'll prepare for a 90-minute camel trek to witness the sunset, followed by dinner and an overnight stay in a traditional nomad tent at a bivouac.

Day 3 : Merzouga - Tazarine - Agdz - Ouarzazate

On day three, rise early to catch the sunrise before enjoying breakfast in the heart of Erg Chebbi's dunes. Then, return to the hotel on camelback for a quick shower before driving to Rissani, a small Saharan town in southeastern Morocco. There, you'll visit a fossil workshop before proceeding to Agdez and the Draa Valley junction. We'll cross the Atlas Mountains to reach Ouarzazate, where dinner and your third night's stay will be arranged.

Day 4 : Ouarzazate - Ait Benhaddou - Marrakech

After breakfast, take some time to explore Ouarzazate, including a visit to the famed Atlas film studio, known as the "Hollywood of Africa." Head to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, the filming location for over 20 movies, including "Gladiator," "Indiana Jones," and "Lawrence of Arabia." Enjoy a brief walk to discover traditional Moroccan kasbah architecture before making your way back to Marrakech via the High Atlas Mountains and Tizi n'Tichka pass. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant before our driver drops you off at your Marrakech hotel or Riad.
